There will still be work ,, and the slow down will be temporary ,,so much production will be slashed in next 6 month that by this time next year the media Aholes will be spewing out dribble about peak oil, lack of future supply , shotages and $200 per barrel bullcrap,,,,,,

price by end of year will be $75-85 and within next 2 months will be back up to $60...

a good shake out of crappy agents and some over debted companies and so re alignment ,, so same same as usual..


some people will take the opportunity to retire ,, others will give up ,,mostly the desperate or newbies .
May 2016 they will be screaming for bodies ...

I agree totally that overweight people should be refused a medical BUT good sized emergency exits should be mandatory too. I'm tall, 6'6", not fat but I'm not a drink on a stick either, in a Heli I'm cramped and squashed in the emergency exits I can get through but, in a real emergency it could make life a little more frantic. Bigger exits = safer operation.

Please note there is no such thing as an accredited ROV training school - there is simply no such qualification as ROV Pilot.

IMCA which is a Trade Organisation set up by offshore companies, have written a minimum standard for ROV Pilots. Training Schools can train to these standards, however this does not make anyone "qualified" or "certified". No-one can be IMCA certified, IMCA have constantly chased some schools who try and say people are IMCA certified, IMCA do not certify anyone.

ROVs are pieces of equipment, you have to know how to maintain and repair this equipment which is just a bunch of electrics, electronics and hydraulics. This is why companies look for technically qualified and experienced people who can maintain and repair technical equipment.

You do not learn about ROVs until you get a job in ROVs...

Work with him Njal... Will never want him anymore.. Just a kid with lots of shit. Cannot get anything done right. No patient kid. Can never succeed offshore. Good to know that he is shore base now and sad for the company who employed him as he will never get things right. Must be paying Njal a shit low monkey salary for a high post. For a 24 year old kid will looks good on his C.V.

Yes rates dropped from 1000usd for supervisors to 850usd now.. PT still 750usd.. worst some companies paying for supervisors workclass system for only 500usd..
